RC Clubs and Hobby Shops in Edmonton
The Northern Alberta Scale Auto Racers (N.A.S.C.A.R.) are a group of RC car racing enthusiasts located in Edmonton, Alberta. The club has over 600 members who meet regularly to host races and other events for RC vehicle enthusiasts in Edmonton. They have an annual outdoor racing season for the summer and during the winter they switch to an indoor track at the Alberta Aviation Museum.

RC Tracks in Edmonton
This racing facility is run by a small friendly community made up of a number of experienced racers. They cater to all ages and skill levels in the RC hobby space. Whether you’re a serious racer or a first-time racer they are available to offer help, tips and advice about RC Racing. At One10 they provide an entertaining, educational, and inviting, racing experience that meets the go-fast needs of all who visit.
The Radio Control Racers Edmonton (RCRE) is a private, not-for-profit off-road RC racing club located around 30 minutes drive outside of Edmonton. The club organizes weekly off-road club races during the summer months (May-September). They currently have seven racing classes from Novice Kids to Nitro Buggies and Electric Truggies.
Anyone interested is welcome to go in for a visit and check out the tracks. If you decide to purchase a membership then you will be granted full daily access to the facilities from 9 am and 9 pm.
Located 35km west of Edmonton, in the hamlet of Carvel, you’ll find the R.C.B.E. club and their 1/5 scale track. Whether or not you’ve ever raced RC vehicles, head on out! They do their best to make a great experience for all racers.
RC Airplane Clubs
Flying RC Planes, helicopters and other aerial vehicles have become a hugely popular pastime in recent years.
MAAC is a non-profit organization that brings together model airplane enthusiasts from all across Canada, especially in Edmonton. They provide a space for safe Aerial fun, in a hobby interest that is shared by the hundreds of member clubs across the country.
MAAC is a great source for learning, with training materials and flight instructors available at most MAAC-affiliated member clubs.
Capital City Flyers
At Capital City Flyers they mainly meet to fly on the weekends and in the evenings, but once you are a member you will be given the combination to the gate that guards the entrance to the field, so you could fly whenever you wish.
Plus the City Flyers also have a teaching program to help anyone who wants to learn to fly and it comes available at no extra charge. The club prides itself on their relaxed vibe and they enjoy racing for fun and not just competitively.
The Edmonton Radio Control Society (ERCS) was formed to provide safe and enjoyable flying facilities for the sport of flying radio-controlled aircraft. Their club was formed over 50 years ago and today caters to all kinds of Aerial RC enthusiasts in Edmonton, Alberta. The ERCS offers ground school and in-flight training for new pilots at no extra cost to its members.
Their flying field is located just a few minutes east of Edmonton in Strathcona County.
